Moto Yellowstone

In September, I took my Tiger 800 on an exciting trip to Yellowstone to meet my cousin Jason and my former boss, Stanley. The loop was around 1300 miles and 25 hours in the saddle.

Day 1: Challenging Conditions
The first evening was quite the adventure. I rode through rain and 40-degree weather on a muddy road before finally reaching my hostel in Island Park. It was a stressful ride, and I frozen and went to bed hungry.

Day 2: Exploring Yellowstone & Tetons
The next morning, the weather cleared up, and I met Jason and Stanley at the Yellowstone Lake Hotel. We rode south through the stunning Tetons to Jackson and then on to Victor, Idaho, where we spent the night.

Day 3: Parting Ways
The following morning, we continued south to Alpine, where we split up. Jason and Stanley were heading west before returning home to Mississippi. I rode back to Jackson and stayed in a hostel at the base of Grand Teton.

Chasing Sunsets and Sunrises
I aimed to capture some great sunset and sunrise photos. For sunset, I chose Oxbow Bend, but unfortunately, the sky didn’t cooperate. The next morning, I got up at 6 AM in chilly 32-degree weather with ice on my bike seat. I set up at Schwabacher Landing for sunrise, and while it wasn’t perfect for photography, the view was still a very moving experience.

Final Stop: Pocatello
After that, I rode on to Pocatello to see Chloe. We had a nice dinner together and enjoyed catching up. The next morning was a long ride home on I-84, but it felt good to see Kelley again. This trip was a mix of challenges and beautiful moments, making it an adventure worth remembering.
