Since kids weren’t visiting, we decided to try pet sitting in Arroyo Grande.
This is Whitney. She was a sweetie.
We watched the Temptations play at the Golden State Theatre in downtown Monterey. Great show, interesting people all around.
Went back to BOI to clean up Lone Shore for the next tenants. We both still love it there, autumn is so pretty. Really enjoyed catching up with our friends.
Visited the Salvador Dali Museum in Monterey today. I have a new appreciation for his work. Very diverse. Interesting fellow!
Day One, Monday We had a quick and easy flight from San Diego to San Jose via PHX. The shuttle ride from the airport to Cabo San Lucas provided an overview of the area. We stopped at several resorts along the way. We accidentally picked the best area to stay, across the street from the harbor, and right on the ocean. Lots to do, all within walking distance. The...
What a wonderful time with family & friends! Thanks to everyone who made the trip! Thursday, Aug 12 Kelley, Maddie and Ronnie started the weekend with a road trip from Carmel to San Diego. We arrived around 5pm, just in time for a sunset. Friday, Aug 13 Played Volleyball and enjoyed the resort. Dinner at Sardina’s, by then, everyone had arrived. Saturday...
Spent the afternoon hiking at Garland Ranch, then a short visit to the farmer’s market in Pacific Grove.
Kelley and I were scheduled to travel to San Francisco to meet up with Ryan H. and his lady friend. Flights, lodging and car were all booked, but we decided to cancel last minute due to fires in CA, amount of work left on the Brandy’s Jewel house, plus the expense of the trip. Instead, we decided to take a short, one-nighter to Tamarack just to break the stress...
Day One: Boise to Pocatello About a four hour ride on I-84. The time pass quickly and the weather was decent. Dropped off Chloe at ISU! Day Two: Pocatello to Butte I left town around 1 PM. A quick detour to view Upper Mesa Falls and then continued on through Ennis along the Madison river. I crossed the continental divide just outside West Yellowstone. As I got on I...
Borrowed my parents RV and took a road trip to Cresent Bar. The trip was physically tiring. The RV requires constant focus while driving, unlike your car where you can look away momentarily without consequence. But Kelley really liked not having to stop for restrooms. 🙂 Cresent Bar is a neat place. Not what I expected. It’s very populated with nice condos, golf...
Saturday, Jan 19, 2018 Kelley and I flew from BOI to PDX to LAX. After a 45min Uber to Long Beach, we found our Airbnb and explored ideas for dinner. There wasn’t any food within walking distance, so we Uber’d downtown to a Mexican restaurant called “Next Door“. The food was delicious (fish tacos/cauliflower tacos), and the live music was...
